Government of India has decided to set up new Sainik Schools in partnership with Government/ Private Schools /NGOs. The scheme leverages Public/private partnership in education sector, help tap into existing infrastructure available with reputed private and Govt.
This school's mission is to prepare students for armed forces. As a result, the school promotes overall personality development. Education is excellent with the CBSE syllabus, and there are many more activities that help the student develop overall. Sports help students develop their personalities. Self-assurance and teamwork.
It is a CBSE-accredited residential English medium school. The school is run by the Sainik Schools Societies , which is registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act (1860)
To offer quality education to the children of rural masses and to develop qualities of body, mind and character which will enable the young boys to become good and useful citizens and eventually be a feeder to National Defence Academy.
Cadets are not permitted to keep mobile phones or any other electronic items. Parents are advised to refrain from giving such items to their wards. Strict disciplinary action including withdrawal from the school will be undertaken in case of defaulters.
A key announcement made by prime minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on 75th Independence Day was that Sainik Schools, which traditionally admit only boys, will now be open for girls as well.
A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2022, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he/ she should have been born between 01 April 2007 and 31 March 2009 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2022-23. Admission to Class IX is not open for girls.
The admissions are made based on the seats available in the classes, they carry a “No denial Policy” to army wards, and civilians are admitted only after ensuring that no further seat is required for any Army ward.
Nationality- Only Indian students can apply for All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exams (AISSEE) 2023. Gender- Girls and boys, both are eligible for class 6 admission at Sainik Schools. Age Limit- The age of a student should be between 10-12 years, as on March 31, 2023.
To be eligible to apply for the exam, one must be an Indian citizen. They must be between 10-12 years, as on March 31 of the year they wish to take admissions for class 6 admissions. They must have also cleared or are appearing for the class 5 exam. For class 9, candidates must be between 13-15 years, as of March 31 for the year, and must have cleared the class 8 exam. For the class 6 admissions, students will be tested on their mathematical knowledge and language ability, and general knowledge. For class 9, AISSEE will comprise of questions from math, science, English, and Social Studies
The examination is to be scheduled in 1st or 2nd Sunday in the month of January in year
Sainik Exam Timings:
For Class VI: From 10.00 am to 12.30 pm For Class IX: From 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
The test will be conducted in paper pen mode.

Admit Card contains a Declaration cum Undertaking regarding COVID 19. For those who opted for any of the specified languages, the question paper will be in the specified language and in English. A candidate is eligible for admission to the Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2021. However, admission will be based on relative merit (in AISSEE) of candidate in his/ her category in the school opted by him/ her, medical fitness and verification of requisite documents. However, no minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category. They will be admitted on the basis of inter-se merit at the Entrance Examination within their respective categories, subject to medical fitness and verification of requisite documents.
